School transport operators send them to parents, delivery firms to the people waiting for a delivery. Here is what that link is.

Who sent it?

The company running the vehicle: a school transport operator, a delivery firm or a contractor. They track their own vehicles with Yipii and chose to share one with you. Questions about the route, the driver or the times go to them.

What does it show?

Where the vehicle is now, updating as it moves, and the road it has taken on this trip. The operator chooses what else appears, such as the number plate, the speed or an arrival estimate. Your phone’s location is never sent to us.

Why does it ask for my email?

Some operators only let people they know follow a vehicle, such as the parents on a school run. The page may email you a six-digit code to confirm it is you, or ask for an access code the operator gave you.

Why is the map empty, or the link not working?

The operator decides when a link works. It can be limited to certain days and hours, it can expire on a date or once the vehicle arrives, and they can switch it off. The page says which. Ask them for a new link if you need one.
